THE BLIND — CAMOUFLAGE WATERPROOF SURVIVAL TENT
- Double-layer construction — camouflage inner cloth + separate rain fly for maximum weather isolation
- 1000–1500mm waterproof rating on both fly and floor — holds up in sustained rain, not just drizzle
- Oxford cloth floor — puncture-resistant, cold-ground barrier, won't soak through from below
- 200×150×110cm interior — room for two adults plus gear, 110cm peak height means no crouching

ONE TENT. SIX WAYS TO USE IT.
The camouflage pattern breaks up the tent's outline against treelines, grassland, and undergrowth. Set up a concealed position before dawn — the camo inner and outer blend into the environment where a standard green or orange tent would immediately give away your location.
Waterside conditions mean damp ground, spray, and overnight dew. The Oxford cloth floor keeps moisture from the ground out; the waterproof fly keeps rain off. Set up at the bank, stay dry through the session, and pack down fast when the fish stop biting.
In an emergency, shelter is the first priority. The Blind deploys fast, keeps two people out of the elements, and the camo pattern reduces visual exposure in environments where staying unseen matters. 200×150cm of floor gives enough room to sleep and store gear out of the rain.
At altitude, weather changes fast. The double-layer design provides a dead-air insulation gap between inner and outer — warmer than single-wall tents at temperature. Fiberglass poles flex in gusts rather than snapping. A 110cm peak height means you can sit upright and wait out a storm in reasonable comfort.
Multi-day routes require shelter that sets up quickly after a long day in the saddle. The Blind's pole system goes up without complex assembly. Pack it into a pannier or strap it to a rack — compact enough to carry without compromising the ride.
A tent stored in a vehicle or bug-out bag is shelter that doesn't require finding a building. The Blind handles wind, rain, and cold ground — the three things that make being stranded dangerous. Camo pattern means it can be deployed without drawing attention in an extended grid-down scenario.
WHAT MAKES THE BLIND DIFFERENT
Single-wall tents condense moisture on the inside surface — you wake up wet from your own breath. The Blind separates the waterproof outer fly from the inner camouflage cloth, creating a ventilation gap that allows moisture to escape while keeping rain out. The inner layer stays dry; the outer layer handles the weather. This is the same principle used in quality mountaineering tents, not a cost-cut design.
Waterproofing is measured in hydrostatic head — the height of a water column the fabric can hold before it leaks. At 1000–1500mm, both the rain fly and the Oxford cloth floor resist sustained rainfall and ground moisture. Budget tents often rate the fly but ignore the floor. The Blind rates both — because lying on a soaked floor is as bad as having no roof.
Oxford cloth is a basket-weave fabric with tighter construction than standard polyester — it resists punctures from roots, stones, and rough ground, and maintains its waterproof coating under sustained compression from body weight. The floor is the most stress-tested part of any tent. Oxford cloth holds up to repeated field use where thinner groundsheet materials fail within a season.
Fiberglass poles bend before they break. In high wind, a rigid aluminium pole transfers stress to the attachment points and can shear at the ferrule; fiberglass deflects the load and returns to shape. For a shelter that goes up in unpredictable field conditions, flex tolerance matters more than maximum rigidity. The poles also don't conduct cold the way metal does — no cold bridging into the tent structure on frozen ground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Is it genuinely waterproof in heavy rain?
The fly and floor are both rated at 1000–1499mm hydrostatic head. That rating holds in sustained moderate-to-heavy rainfall. The Oxford cloth floor resists ground moisture under body weight. For very severe conditions (extended storm, standing water), we recommend seam-sealing the stitching lines before first use — this is standard practice for any tent at this price point.
Does it actually fit two people?
Yes. The 200×150cm floor comfortably fits two sleeping pads side by side with space for boots and a small pack near the door. The 110cm peak height means you can sit upright in the centre. One person with gear has generous room; two adults is snug but fully functional.
Can one person set it up solo?
Yes. The fiberglass pole system is colour-coded and designed for single-person setup. With practice, pitching time is 8–12 minutes. We recommend practising the setup at home before your first field use — this applies to any tent.
Does the camouflage pattern fade quickly?
The camouflage print is applied to the inner cloth layer, which is protected from direct UV exposure by the outer fly when fully pitched. Storing the tent dry and out of direct sunlight when not in use extends the print life significantly. Avoid machine washing — spot clean or hand wash with cold water only.
What's included in the package?
The package includes the outer rain fly, inner tent body, fiberglass pole set, and tent pegs/stakes. Bring a mallet for hard ground. A footprint/groundsheet is optional but recommended for rocky terrain.
How long does shipping take?
We ship within 24 hours. Standard US delivery is 5–8 business days. Free shipping on orders over $75. Tracking number sent by email once shipped.
