7 FUNCTIONS FOR ANY SCENARIO
Full AM and FM band reception for standard broadcasts. News, emergency announcements, and local communication even when the grid is down.
Direct access to NOAA weather channels — the official US government emergency broadcast network. Real-time storm alerts, evacuation notices, and disaster warnings.
Zoom-adjustable 1W LED beam for directional illumination. Useful for navigation, signaling, and hands-free lighting when mounted or held steady.
Diffused 4-LED panel for close-range ambient light — reading maps, checking supplies, and working in a tent without the harsh spot of a flashlight beam.
USB output turns The Signal into a charger for phones and small devices. 2000mAh is enough for a partial phone charge — critical when you need to make one call or send one message.
Dedicated SOS alert mode for emergency signaling. Audible and visual output to attract attention in search-and-rescue situations. When everything else fails, you have a signal.
Solar panel, hand crank, USB input, or 3×AAA batteries. Four independent power sources mean you are never without a way to charge — in a blackout, a vehicle, off-grid, or in direct sun.
WHAT MAKES THE SIGNAL DIFFERENT
Most emergency radios have one or two power options. The Signal has four: solar panel on top charges in daylight with no moving parts, the hand crank generates power from pure mechanical effort when nothing else is available, USB input charges from any power bank or wall adapter, and 3×AAA batteries give you a familiar backup you can store for years. The point is redundancy — if one power source is unavailable, you cycle to the next. In a prolonged emergency, that matters more than any single spec.
The NOAA weather band is separate from AM/FM — it's a dedicated government broadcast network that operates specifically for emergency alerts, including tornadoes, hurricanes, flash floods, and evacuation orders. Unlike social media or cell notifications, NOAA broadcasts continue when infrastructure is damaged. AM/FM gives you standard stations for news and local broadcasts. Manual channel selection keeps it simple with no digital menu to navigate under stress.
The built-in 2000mAh lithium battery doesn't just run the radio — it outputs power via USB to charge other devices. In a blackout, a partial phone charge is the difference between reaching someone and going silent. The battery charges via USB or solar or hand crank, meaning the same four power inputs that run the radio also build up charge you can transfer to your phone. Rated at DC 5V, 500mA output — compatible with standard USB devices.
At 15.7×7.4×5.3 cm and ABS construction, The Signal fits in a jacket pocket, a bug-out bag side pouch, or a vehicle glove compartment. ABS plastic is impact-resistant and light — it takes drops and rough handling without cracking. The built-in speaker and USB interface mean no separate cables or adapters required for basic operation. Everything you need is in one unit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Can it charge my phone?
Yes. The built-in 2000mAh battery outputs power via USB so you can charge phones and small devices directly from The Signal. You can build up charge in the battery via solar, hand crank, or USB input — then transfer that charge to your phone when needed.
How long does the hand crank run the radio?
A few minutes of cranking provides enough charge for 20–30 minutes of radio playback. The hand crank is designed as an emergency backup — for extended use, solar or USB charging is more efficient. For a power outage lasting hours or days, alternate between solar and crank to maintain the battery level.
Does it receive NOAA weather alerts automatically?
The Signal receives all NOAA weather band frequencies. Channel selection is manual — you tune to the NOAA frequency for your region (typically 162.400–162.550 MHz range). It does not have SAME (Specific Area Message Encoding) auto-alert. You need to have it on and tuned in to hear broadcasts.
What batteries does it use?
The built-in 2000mAh lithium battery charges via solar, hand crank, or USB input. As an additional backup power source, the unit also accepts 3×AAA batteries (not included). AAA batteries are available everywhere, making this a reliable option when no charging source is accessible.
What is the difference between the black and green versions?
Color only — the hardware, features, and specs are identical. Black is a low-visibility option for urban and tactical use. Green blends into natural environments for camping, hiking, and field use. Both are the same unit.
How long does shipping take?
We ship within 24 hours. Standard US delivery is 5–8 business days. Free shipping on orders over $75. Tracking number sent by email once shipped.
