What exactly is included?

How does the ferro rod work?
Strike the ferro rod with the included scraper or the spine of a knife at a 45° angle to produce a shower of sparks above 3,000°F. Direct those sparks onto dry tinder — shredded bark, dry grass, cotton — and blow gently to catch a flame. No lighter fluid, no batteries, works in rain and wind.
Is the case waterproof?
The hard case is water-resistant and protects the contents from splashes and light rain. It is not rated for submersion. The foam padding keeps tools dry and protected during storage and transport. For fully waterproof field use, store the case inside a waterproof bag or dry bag in your pack.
