WHAT MAKES THE SCOUT DIFFERENT
The pivot mount at the head joint rotates 150° up and down. This matters more than it sounds — you can aim the beam at the ground when walking on a rough trail, at the horizon when scanning, or straight up to illuminate a shelter ceiling as ambient light. Most headlamps are fixed or have limited tilt. This one goes where you point it.
IPX4 means tested against water splashing from any direction. Rain, river crossings, heavy perspiration, and humid environments won't affect performance. This isn't "water resistant in good conditions" — it's a tested standard for real outdoor use.
The LED housing is aluminum alloy for heat dissipation — keeping LEDs cool extends output stability and lifespan. The body and headband mount are ABS for impact resistance and lightweight carry. The combination gives you a durable, field-grade headlamp at 217g total weight.

Does it come with batteries?
Yes — two 1200mAh lithium batteries are included in the box, along with a Micro USB charging cable. The headlamp is ready to use immediately after charging (4–6 hours from flat).
How long does the battery last per charge?
2–3 hours of runtime on a full charge. This varies by mode — using only the center LED at lower power extends runtime significantly. Using all 5 LEDs at full output will consume the charge faster.
What does IPX4 waterproof mean?
IPX4 is tested for water splashing from any direction — rain, splashes, and sweat won't damage the headlamp. It's not designed for submersion. For most outdoor conditions including heavy rain and high humidity, IPX4 is fully sufficient.
How do I cycle through the 6 modes?
One button controls all modes. Press once to turn on, press again to cycle to the next mode: center LED → side LEDs → all 3 main LEDs → XPE aux LEDs → all 5 LEDs → SOS strobe. Hold to turn off.
